Restless

More snow today. We are all so restless. It feels like we have been locked in the house forever and we may not be getting out anytime soon. I have been on antibiotics and have started feeling better, but now the kids have runny noses again and Todd is having body aches again. Will it ever stop? Mason has literally missed 9 days of school out of the last 14. 3 we were sick, but the other 6 have been snow days. This is unbelievable for Pueblo. Several nights ago when I was coming home from work I was almost in a head on collision with a Houdini race car driver and it has me spooked to drive with the kids, so to get out (temperatures around 7 degrees) I put the kids in the van and we drive up and down Tenderfoot with the music on. The kids seem to enjoy it and somehow it feels like a break. I think that the neighbors are completely confused and watch out of their front windows trying to figure us out. It is so strange because even though it feels like we are trapped here we maintain a very busy life, which is confusing to me and seems contradicting. Maybe the break we need is from ourselves, the sicknesses, and the freezing temperatures.

Lately...Todd has been awesome at helping me around the house and occupying the kids when I need a rest. This is such a huge help and I am so grateful to have a husband that just does this without me asking. He has also started going to the gym on Mon and Wed mornings. He really likes it.

We have a new sitter. She is graduating with her degree in Elementary Education in May. The kids like her and she seems pretty good with them so far. She seems to be finding her groove. The last one we had for 2 days was allergic to us, literally. Her hands swelled up and itched after she left our house.

This weekend I took Mason to a little birthday party of one of his classmates. It was fun and Mason had a great time. They had a few bounce houses, a pinata, balloon animals, and magic show. Then we came home and loaded up Todd and Avery and went to Renee's for the Superbowl.

Mason also starts basketball practice on Thursday (Renee will be taking him since that is my day to work). Saturday we have his first game. This should be really fun and I am looking forward to it. Mason will also be joining soccer for April and May. I have signed up Todd to coach. He wasn't that excited with me but we save the registration fee and I think that it will be good for them to have some real guy time. Plus, did I mention that we will get free registration?

This weekend we are shooting our HearAid commercial. We have a sitter for Valentines Day and Todd and I will be joining Renee and Tom for dinner somewhere, anywhere. I am craving some adult time. Tuesday Todd and I will go to an ultrasound to find out the gender of Baby #3. We are both pretty excited about this.

My little baby girl is 2 years old in less than a month. So I will planning a Birthday party for the littlest Shepard. Avery's finger looks the best that it has but I still think that she is going to loose the nail. It still doesn't slow her down, she is a little wild child, talking and chasing Mason. It is fun to watch them play.

I literally don't know what I would do if I didn't have our family calendar.
