Grandma Bertsch's Visit

Grandma Bertsch came for 2 weeks and the house was completely transformed. We completed so many projects that I needed to get done before the new baby arrives. Plus, it was just really nice to have my mom here. We had an awesome time and I am so grateful for all the help! Tasks we accomplished: 1. Cleaned out the kid's bathroom closet (which hadn't been done since before Mason was born), organized and threw out meds, creams, sorted band aids, washcloths, baby towels, shampoos, etc. 2. Cleaned out both of the closets in Mason's room, reorganized Mason's closet with all of his things in there, and organized baby's closet with all of his things. 3. Changed around the furniture. 4. Set up Mason's new toddler bed with his new bedding. 5. Changed Mason's toddler bed back into a crib with new baby's bedding. 6. Rearranged both dressers so that one belongs to Mason and one to new baby. 7. Washed all the baby clothes up to 6 months, folded them and put them in drawers. 8. Swapped out all of Mason's and Avery's clothes that were too small and replaced them with the bigger ones. 9. Rearranged the basement; went through all the old boxes of clothes from Mason and sorted them according to size so when we have to bring them up for new baby. 10. Went through old toys, clothes, and other misc stuff in basement. Organized and cleaned entire basement. 11. Took a van full of items to Bargain Box. 12. Cleaned out pantry 13. Made a station for all the kids craft stuff. 14. Cleared out a cupboard for the baby bottles. 15. Washed all the baby bottles and put them in cupboard. 16. Threw away and organized all the parts and pieces to the sippee cups so everything matches. What a gigantic accomplishment. I couldn't have ever gotten all these things done by myself while watching my kids in time for the new baby. I have been crying and trying to figure out how to have her come back soon. Grandma Bertsch reads to Mase and Ave The biggest thing that Mom probably did was start to potty train Avery. Things are going really well with this. I am so so so pleased with the progress. The 2nd day Avery pooped in her potty and we have had hardly any wet pull ups. I think that it is just a matter of staying on top of it. But it would be so nice to only have one little one in diapers. Cutie pie! One day my living room looked like this, well several days it looked like this. It was awesome to see all that we could accomplish! Taking some time for her self. What a good book!

Rocking the babies.

For the first week that my Mom was here Todd had went to Cody to help his parents on their house. While Todd was gone Avery and Mason took turns sleeping with Mom. My total guilty pleasure.

Mason in his new toddler bed with his new Spiderman bedding. He said, "Mom, this is SO cool!"

When Todd came back to Pueblo he brought Gene (Debbie's husband) and we enjoyed spending time with him before he and Mom flew back to Cody. I can't believe we don't have any pictures of Grandpa Bertsch.

  1. Amelia was SO easy to potty train! Day and night almost at the same time! 2 of my boys wore pullups at night till they were almost 6--when you fall out of bed and don't wake up, a tiny little bladder isn't going to wake you up--Good Luck! when is the new baby due??
