Our 2 new hermit crabs. Mason picked out Spiderman and the Ave picked out Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse is much more active and comes out of his shell often. They love to climb. Mickey Mouse has pinched both Mason and I and it hurts! When they pinch we put them in the water and they let go because they think that they are going to need to swim.
Mason keeps them in his room and he gets so excited to take them out and hold them or let them crawl around on a towel. He also enjoys putting them in their food bucket at night. We feed them outside of their cage because it keeps their cage cleaner. Since they are scavengers by nature we feed them fruits, veggies, peanut butter, and other scraps.
Spiderman seems much more reserved (maybe frightened) and he hardly comes out of his shell.
