Our September

In mid September I went back to work.  It was hard for me to find a balance between the real world and my world.  Well it was hard for me to get out of the house and be on time.  I thought about what days and times would work best for nursing Cole and getting Mason from school.  I did change my days to Wed and Fri so I wouldn't be away for 2 days in a row.  I also took a longer lunch so I could pick up Mason and run home nurse Cole and be back to work.  It is a lot of running, but it really seems to work for us.  It was nice to mix up the days.  I still love my career, I love getting dressed and being a professional a few days a week.  I also cherish the days where we don't get dressed and I play with Ave Mason, and Baby Cole all day.  I am so glad that both fit so well.  I really am a lucky girl.
Not quite 2 months old. We are so in love with this little guy. He is just awesome. He is such a good little sleeper. He will sleep anywhere anytime, like most infants. He is still in the living room in the swing or in our bed. I have a hard time getting enough of him. When I went back to work Todd and I split the night which had proven to be successful when Avery was a little baby.  I take anything before 3 am and Todd takes anything after.  Cole literally is sleeping about a 4-6 hour stretch at night then he eats and goes back to bed for 3-5 more hours.
This was a pretty cool night.  One of the fixtures had come loose under the sink.  Avery and I left to go to Target and we left the boys to fix this.  Here Mason is taking charge with his dad's flashlight.  The reason that this night was so cool was that when Avery and I went to Target I told her that if she was going to go with me she needed to be a big girl and wear her panties because this wasn't a diaper trip.  I told her this was a big girl trip and if she had to go to the bathroom she would have to tell mom and go potty in the toilet or she couldn't go with me anymore.  I didn't know how it would go because if she had no pants on at all she would go in the potty, but if she had undies or pants she would pee them every time.  When we got to Target I reminder her to tell me and we started shopping.  We shopped for a 2 hour period and she told me twice and twice I ran through the store like an absolute crazy person with my 2 year old in tow.  Twice she peed in the potty and never once in her pants.  From this day on she hasn't had an accident.  What an amazing little girl and what a proud proud mommy!
Super cool kid about to laugh
My Mason, just over 4 and already a remarkable little guy.  Mason is so caring and such a nice little boy.  If Cole is crying he will hurry over and try talking to him or singing to him.  He will bring him a binki and like to hold him.  When I cook sometimes I have Avery help me and have Mason keep Cole entertained in his bassinet.  He does an awesome job.  What a wonderful big brother.
Spotting Scopes
What a cute little smile.  He had just started smiling around this time (4 days shy of being 2 months old).  If you want to see me turn all silly show me this baby's smile.  Gets me every time.
The three kids.  We were playing like we were camping.  It must have also been an undies day because it looks like everyone is shirtless.  Sometimes we do that.
Ashle and my mom visited.  Of course they brought tons of clothes, books, and toys for the kids.  These 2 are yard sale maniacs and they find some really amazing deals.  Every time they visit they come with enough stuff to fill the living room.  We have fun going through it and I wish that I could say things leave this house as quickly as they come in, but I am not that good.  I have sent home a few boxes of Cole's clothes with my sister for Baby Gavin.  In fact, you can see Baby Gavin here (she is 4 months pregnant here and feeling and looking AMAZING).  She is going to be such an excellent mommy.
Ok, I like this picture because this way there is documentation that I exist.  Seems like I'm never in pictures.  But this was also one of those jammie days I was talking about.
2 Months and 3 Days.  When he gets upset we take him in the bathroom and run the water.  It works like a charm every time to calm him down!
Sweetie Pie!
My Dad came to visit us.  He enjoyed hanging out with us and was here for a little over a week.  I was able to talk him into staying a day longer than he normally does.  It is always awesome to have him with us.  I love this time.
Grandpa Mike helping Ave ride her bike.  She is such a strong little girl and I think that it will take her far in life.  She also gets her feelings hurt easy and will cry and say, "You hurt my feeling, you broke my heart."  What a statement from a 2 1/2 year old.  She is so smart and so perceptive.
Cole wishes all the blue blankets and clothes weren't in the wash.
Grandpa Shepard and Dana came to visit us for a few days at the end of Sept.  It was awesome to have them.  Randy hadn't seen Cole yet and was shocked at home much Avery had changed. It was fun to have them and the time seemed to go too quick.
Dana hadn't been to Pueblo for a little over 4 years so it was a real treat to have her come see us.  She brought the kids big coloring books and they were having fun playing and coloring.
Mason and his buddy Caleb.  He will often say, "Caleb Cichon is my best friend."  They have such good imaginations.  I am thinking that this photo will go in their senior yearbooks.
