So Sweet with Baby Ave. (Honest, I didn't pose them!)
Our little guy had a Dr. appointment today and he measured 35 1/4 inches and 27 pounds. I was proud of him he was so good for Dr. Simerville. We got a list of behaviors that our now 2 year old could be demonstrating:
runs and climbs (check)
starts to walk on tiptoes (check)
constantly in motion (check)
gets upset and impatient easily (check)shows anger by crying or screaming (check)
upset when daily routines change (check)
wants own way (check)
may assert self by saying "no" (check)
likes to imitate (check)
does not share (check)
claims everything is "mine" (check)
enjoys playing among, not with, other children (check)
This got me thinking, other than the first 2 on this list, I just might be 2 years old.
Mason's vocabulary is exploding and every day he is saying more and more. A few days again he spoke a sentence and I am not positive that it is the first one, but it stopped me in my tracks. He said, "Mommy, I don't see it." He also climbed into our clothes hamper yesterday and yelled, "Mommy, are you? Help." Which was funny because he can't climb out on his own. He eats very well with utensils and is even getting good at helping me pick up. Mason is such a good boy. We played outside yesterday and learned about grasshoppers then he was talking about them today. I am so shocked at how dynamic he is and how fast he is changing. He still loves Avery, animals, playing, dancing, water, and being busy! For the most part he is still a joy, but he is 2 and he is trying to be his own little person and he pushes a lot. Potty training has been going very well and cross our fingers will continue. It is a household consensus that we will keep him!
