Date at the Fair

I have been really proud of Mason lately and it seems like he is getting to be such a big boy, saying so many new things, and accomplishing so much. Sometimes I feel like the precious little moments that I should be savoring getting overshadowed by daily life. So, I had decided that it was time for my little Mason and his mommy to have a date night. I was really excited all day about what we were going to be able to do and see. At 5 when I got off my shift at the fair Mason and I went around looking at the booths inside (mostly because it was raining like crazy). He was having an ok time and I was really enjoying showing off my little guy, but the rain wasn't letting up. I decided that we wouldn't melt if we went out in the rain (we were properly dressed) so we darted to the animal building. Mason had a blast. In the petting zoo he made fast friends with the bunnies, puppies, goats, pigs, and kittens. He would go around and pet them, talk to them and tell them which sounds they make (oink for pig, meow for kitten etc). He also made fast friends with the people in there that helped with the animals so he was able to hold a few of them. I was so proud of how seriously he took the job of holding the bunnies and the kittens.
You can see Mason's little finger, he was pointing to the bunny and whispering, "Hi Bunny, hi"

Mason and the kitten. He said, "I yuv you, kitty, kitty." Then a little girl came up to him and said, "My turn." Mason looked at her regretfully and honestly I was sort of like where did you come from? But my little guy looked at the kitten and looked at the little girl and then he handed her the kitten. I can't say how my heart felt - so so so proud.

Mommy and Mason on the carousel. Last ride of the night. When we were on our way home Mason very tired said, "Mommy, fair fun?" I said, "Did you have fun at the fair Baby?" He replied, "That's right Mommy, fair fun."
