Humidifier, Thermometer, and Lots and Lots of Kleenex
We are all sick. On Friday I took the kids to their pediatrician to have them checked out. I thought that it was probably just a cold, but wanted to be sure before weekend and with them being so little. So, Dr. told us what meds they could take and the amounts. Spent weekend in jammies smelling like vicks with runny red little noses. The only thing worse than 1 sick baby is 2. We have no plans of getting dressed or coming out until this clears. Right now the kids are having stuffy/runny noses, sore throats, popping ears, coughing, and watering eyes. We are drinking lots of fluids, taking lots of warm showers and baths, washing hands, and keeping on med and nap schedules to try to kick this stuff. The good things about our situation is both kids are sleeping well (which means Todd and I are getting sleep), both kids like their medicine (makes it easier than giving meds to a cat), and we have lots of pairs of jammies (so even though we aren't getting dressed we are still clean). Bad things about this Avery hates to have her nose wiped (like wrangling 1000 angle worms), Mason doesn't have a good appetite (only wants popcorn and pudding), and just feeling bad.
