Party Weekend

This weekend we had a lot of Christmas fun. HearAid's Christmas party was on Saturday night. We ate a great dinner (Todd, Renee, Tom, Dr. C, Rosemary, and myself). I would say that it was very nice to be in the company of adults and not have to be constantly checking out what my kids were doing, but not so fast! After dinner we got a phone call from the babysitter that Avery fell off the couch so we ran home and checked her out (pupils same size, no clear fluid coming from ears or nose, not favoring any limbs). Hmmm. I gave her Tylenol and rocked her for about 3 minutes before she fell asleep. During this time Todd ran downstairs and watched the video. Babysitter was a little too trusting and had Avery on the couch next to her. Mason had asked babysitter a question and when she leaned forward to hear him better, Avery threw self back and fell off the couch. So, after clean bill of health we met Tom and Renee to play some pool. I did feel young again since we were out until midnight. Literally it had been ages since I was out that late but it isn't so bad when you keep it to a once a year event. At any rate minus Avery falling it was a great night.

The next night (Sunday) we had the Christmas party where we exchange the kids presents. They had such a good time. It was fun to see them open their gifts and really enjoy playing with them. Caleb and Mason really enjoyed the process. Avery on the other hand just really wanted to eat some Christmas wrap.
