Here is a photo of my living room today. This is laughable because I used to say (prekids) that I didn't want my house to ever look like kids lived here. What an obviously naive remake. As resistant as I am to chaos in general, it is almost like I like that the living room doesn't have to be perfect and in order all the time. I like that it doesn't have to make sense. Maybe it is because it keeps the kids from becoming little tyrants or because it is easier on me throughout the day, but for us it works. When our kids go to bed for the night Todd and I clean everything up and have a much tidier version of our overran kid living room, where we can relax, until the next day.
