Grandma demonstrating amazing multitasking skills
Sunday morning Todd and I went to a business meeting for HearAid, we are hosting another big event the week that I come back to work. Sunday night Todd and I went to our first of thirteen Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University classes. Monday Todd went to work, I had a Dr appointment and Grandma and Grandpa Bertsch headed back to their quiet life in Cody. That night Todd and I made our first budget, then I went grocery shopping. I have to say that couponing is paying off, but it is a strategical weekly event. This week, I managed to keep our bill under $50 and 50% of what we would've spent without shopping the sales with the coupons, but I have to say I was mad at myself because I had a coupon that I forgot to use and I would have saved another $1. Of course, I didn't get back to the house until 11:50, so I was tired and my eyes and brain weren't working correctly. I WILL be better next time. I think that I may be trying to see how much sleep I don't need by having my babies so close together.
Today was nice, I was with my babies and we were getting things figured out with just the 3 of us. I really like being home with them it is nice. Sometimes I am able to even accomplish something! But lately, I feel like such a space brain - no focus. I start a project then I leave the room for something and see that I need to do something in there, so I forget about the first one and start working on the second one. I do this all day, constant little undone chores in every room. Today I started the laundry. I opened the door to the washer gathered up the kid's hampers and put them in front of the washer then Avery woke up so I had to go feed her. Mason was playing with some letter and number toys that Ashle got him and he saw the laundry. He ran over and started to throw the clothes in the washer. I helped him get the last few socks and then he started to drag the hampers to their rooms. It was great. What an awesome little helper. After he put each hamper where they go then he went back to playing. I think that my little guy was like, "My poor Mom, she has completely lost her mind and clearly she could use a hand."

I also got Avery's picture back today. She was 10 days old in these photos. I love them.

That's so cute how Mason helps out so much. I can't wait until Cooper can help. I am totally like you described, starting one project and then another and nothing gets finished. I'm really like this at work and it's not a good thing. I guess that's what happens after you have kids. Oh well it's all worth it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great team you have...I can't wait until I can come and visit. I so badly want to hold that adorable little Avery and play with Mason. Such great pic's Brandi and Todd.
ReplyDeleteI love my Shepard Family sooo much.
