Day 1 of Potty Days
We started potty training Saturday. What an experience for both Mason and Mommy. First thing in the morning I took Mason to the bathroom we sat on the potty for 40 minutes, before he peed. When he peed he got sort of upset like he was unsure of what he was suppose to do or what was happening. Todd and I clapped, danced, and told him how great he was with the usual high fives, hugs, and all the encouraging words and phrases. The next 3 times he was upset, but then he started to get the hang of this and realize that it was good. Mason started to put his own stuffed animals on the potty and clap for them. He peed in the toilet 8 times today. By the end of the day we were only in there 2 or 3 minutes. He pushes the pee out really hard and fast so that he doesn't have to sit on the potty. Fine with me. Good day! Goal for tomorrow: To have him tell me when he has to go potty.
Mason has all of the things that make him comfortable, Lamby, binki, sippee cup, and a good read!
When those things didn't work then we even brought in his best friend! Caleb and Mason potty training together. Will their girlfriends love these photos or what??
The pictures are way cute and funny. I've heard potty training can be quite difficult but it seems like you are off to a good start. Good luck, hope it continues to go well.
