6 am Monday

At 6 am Cole's bilirubin level was 10.3 which is down a whole point. Because of this they have taken another light off, so now he is down to 1. They are slowly trying to ween him off any of the treatments to see how he will react. At this point they are watching him carefully to see if he will rebound. Anytime now the IVIG may be wearing off and his levels may go back up. He will be tested again at 6 pm tonight. If his levels are going up then they will start another light and make a plan for more aggressive treatment. I am able to stay until tonight at midnight per my insurance. We can't wait to get Cole home, but ourselves and the hospital care givers don't want to bring him back so it is likely that he won't go until Wed if everything goes well.
