Today I had an ultrasound and check up appointment for the baby. She is doing good, weights about 7.7 pounds, good heart rate, and has lots of hair! Her hair comes down over her ears. My doctor was out of town, so I saw the midwife. She informed me that what I had been feeling was Braxton-Hicks contractions. My next appointment is on Thursday, March 5th at 1:00 and I am really hoping to get induced if this baby isn't here by then.
I have clarification on the 24 number from the last ultrasound. The ultrasound tech takes a picture of the baby in the womb. Then takes measurements each of the 4 pockets where the fluid around the baby is. The sides (top, left, right, and bottom) from the baby to the womb are added up. This measurement is in cm. So the average is 20 cm and I am still at 24 cm of fluid. This means that the baby is very protected in fluid and that is also one reason why I am gigantic and extremely uncomfortable.
