Babysitting Sign at the Garage Sale

We have always liked having the kids at home rather than in a daycare. We feel that we have been blessed to be able to do this. But some sad news is that one of the babysitters is unable to work during the week because of a grueling college schedule and our other babysitter is going to be moving back home to Texas (her husband is getting laid because his job is about over) and her last day is the 19th of this month. Renee had a brilliant idea at the garage sale to put up a sign that we needed a babysitter. We didn't have the sign up very long and we had a few people inquire. We have interviews this weekend and week which is great. We are feeling confident that we will be able to fill the position for summer and the position for the fall. This is fantastic news for us since Todd is about to be very busy with his work.

Currently Todd stays home Wed and Thur then works the other 5 days of the week. Because Todd's job was flexible we were able to work this out to save money on babysitting and maximize our earning potential. Starting today he has a 2 houses to trim and then Wed or so there is a student housing project that he is going to trim (should be a year to year and a half job). We are keeping our fingers crossed and excited to have the work and the opportunities that this will bring to us. A few things that will be nice is a more steady income, family weekends, and being able to pay off more debt.

  1. So glad Todd's job is picking up again (love those 1.5 yr projects? -- What a great idea w/ the posting at the yard sale for a babysitter --hopefully you'll find just the "right" person to care for the little ones!
