This is my favorite spot on the mountain. This is the road that winds into Saw Mill Park. For me when we get to this point the real vacation begins. Everything is easy going and on our time. There is no hurry, no crazy happenings of every day, there is nothing but peace, eating, rest, and fun.
Avery's 1st time on the mountain

Mason picked a huge bouquet of flowers for me. What a nice little boy!
Mason sleeping in the bunk. I was so glad that he didn't fall out. The rest of the time he slept in the big bed with Avery and Mom.
Cheese on my finger - Camp Food
Mason LOVED the four wheelers. He kept calling them trailers or motorcycles. I never did get his to recognize them for four-wheelers.
Ladies in Red
My little guy ready to go
"Come on Mama." Waiting to ride. This is across the park from where we camp.
Dad and Ave in front of one of the old buildings.
My Little Angels
Breathtaking
Sweetie Good (that is what Todd calls her)
More Flowers For Mama
Ave and Bunny. Who knew a stump could be so much fun?
Mason getting a very serious lesson about pine beetles.

Mason not sure if he 100% believes Grandpa Mike that he will squish the pine beetles so that Mason doesn't get bit.
Grandpa Shepard and Avery watching Mason

Slaughter House (where I killed my first elk)

Beautiful Flowers! I love the Indian Paintbrushes.

On our way to Morris

Avery was pooped from all the excitement. This is funny because my dad used to ride a motorcycle with me when I was about Avery's age and I would always fall asleep. I still get sleepy. I don't know if it is the hum of the motor or the vibration.

Grandma Shepard sitting with Avery. They were about to have s'mores for the first time.
Grandpa Mike teaching Mason how to cook the marshmallow perfectly. Neither of them had ever had a marshmallow so it was quite a treat!

Grandpa Shepard, these are delicious you've got to try it! She can be pretty convincing.

Blowing the fire out for the perfect marshmallow.

This was on our four-wheeler trip to Morris Park. Can you see the horses head in the snow? (Look to the right). Depending on the amount of snow and the heat people know if there will be moisture for the grass, trees, etc. When it starts to melt it looks like the horse's throat is cut this happening too early in the year means no green summer.
