Magic Breakfast Blaster
I caught this recipe on the Dr. Oz show- I am a huge fan. I was skeptical that I would like it since it has some ingredients that I have never tried not to mention that I have never heard of. But the idea is that I would be able to maybe get breakfast before 10:00 (when Avery takes her first nap). This was a goal of mine in the new year to be able to squeeze my breakfast in in the actual morning. It is a lot and the time flies when getting the kids ready with breakfast, face washing, lotion applying, teeth brushing, hair fixing, and getting dressed. Plus cleaning up it all and heading off any catastrophes (binki being lost) or celebrating with song and dance (Yeah, yeah , yeah, Mason pooped in the potty) and did I mention doing it all with a baby on my hip? Wow. I sound like wonder woman, but not really. I am just hungry. So, anyway here it is: Magic Blender Blaster 1/2 large ripe banana, broken into chunks (or other fruit of choice), 1 scoop (1/3 c) soy protein (like Nature's Pure of Spiru-Tein), 1/2 T flaxseed oil, 1/4 c. frozen blueberries, 1/2 T apple juice concentrate or honey, 1 t psyllium seed husks, 8 oz water. Blend, down the hatch with it, rinse glass and blender, put them in the dishwasher and start thinking about lunch!
