Visalia, Cailifornia

Todd and I took a long weekend in Visalia, California for our good friend's wedding. Dustin Cram and Todd grew up together and we were delighted to hear that he was getting married. The weather was beautiful and we had such a good time. We first were able to visit a farmers market that had incredible fruit. We ate our first tangelos, had amazing fresh orange juice and feasted on strawberries as big as my fist. We also enjoyed sometime in Sequoia National Park. We also saw Rick Springfield in the airport when we were leaving Fresno. While we were gone Carol and Randy came to watch our Mason and Avery.

Who hot tubs at 10 in the morning you ask?

Aaron and his girlfriend Delia (she is really lovely)

These trees are so huge!

General Sherman (Largest living thing in the world). This tree is thought to be 2,200 years old. To give you an idea of how huge it is here are some stats: if it grew on an LA freeway the base would block 3 lanes of traffic (diameter 36.5 feet), if it was on a scale it would take more than 10 blue whales to balance out the trunk alone (1,385 tons) and if you laid it on a football field it would go from one goal line to the 9 yd line on the other side (275 feet). It is gigantic and beautiful.

Awww, two baby bears! So cute and I had never seen them in the wild.
