Zumba
Ok so I didn't want to go. I needed to go and on but I didn't want too. It was the same trepidation that I have seen when one of my kids is in the middle of the funnest activity ever and then it is nap time. Maybe it was a weird physiological slip but I missed the first class and was late for this one. I hated being late and after all didn't want to even go. I had a million excuses, the kids need me to fix them dinner, it is my day off, time precious time, I don't have anything to wear, I don't want to pay, what if I can't do it, what if I die (I could be that out of shape), I feel guilty for taking time for me, I'd rather be doing (pick a project, any project). Anyway, I went and I loved it. I knew that all those times I had indulged in Dirty Dancing that it was only preparation for this class. Sometimes I was right on with the instructor and other times it was like I was Lisa Simpson in the beginning of an episode when she is playing all on her own, really into it and really enjoying it. I felt like Britney Spears pre Kevin Federline sexy, of course, movin and groovin, but strangely in the mirror it looked like John Candy from the scene in Uncle Buck when he was dancing with Marcie, the neighbor, in the living room. Hmmm. So, I just stopped looking in the mirror and enjoyed myself. I let loose and just rocked it. So, needless to say I will be frequenting the Zumba class on Monday nights and I will enjoy the time I get to carve out of my day for me. After all, I need more material for when I dance with the kids.
