Day Before Baby

Today I woke up at 2 in the morning which is really no big surprise. I have lots on my mind and there is a lot to get done. Normally, I would be a little ashamed of not being more prepared, but this time it seems to just be what it is. I made a few lists, put things away, organized other things, and made sure that the house was presentable. Todd hates these lists, but it seems to be a good way to organize my thoughts. And since today is a work day then I won't be home to think about these last minute details. I did rescheduled my afternoon patients so that it would leave me a little time to buttoned up before I leave. This was something that I got accomplished. We changed the sign on the door to reflect my new title.

My dad got to the house about noon and is able to stay for 2 weeks, which is nice. He brought a truckload of gifts and things for the Mason and the new baby. Everyone is excited about the new baby and I am planning to keep the blog updated so that will be possible. I barely remember the first few weeks with Mason, but it seems like I may have been running on adrenaline. I have to admit I am not as young or spunky as I used to be. But I will definitely be making the effort!

Since we go in tomorrow morning, Todd and I have our bags packed and it is so hard to imagine how our household is going to change. Tonight was all about resting and enjoying our last night before we bring home the new baby. I am truly, truly looking forward to having some "time off" to spend with my family.
