Today Todd and I went to my doctors appointment. Dr. Ehama said that I am officially 39 weeks and 1 day. She called the hospital to see when she could schedule me for an induction. I told her that any day would work, the sooner the better. My dad will be here tomorrow (Friday) to watch Mason so I feel good about that. The hospital said that they have 3 C sections and 3 inductions on Friday because of the potential lack of control over my care with all of the other women in there she said that she would rather not do it that day.
Dr. Ehama said that she wants to have a very controlled induction. She will start by soften my cervix with medication then break my water with a very small needle. Her reason is that I have a large amount of fluid and the baby can flip around (breech) with ease. Also if she breaks the water with anything larger then the fluid can gush out which can cause the umbilical cord to be delivered before the baby which is not good. So it is settled. We are going to go to the hospital at 7 am on Saturday to start the induction. We should have our baby sometime that afternoon or night. YEAH!! Can't wait to meet her.
